Saudade

“Saudade” is an experimental contemporary solo, built on a principle of questioning and contemplation.
Performance explores the continuous, intimate flow of questions that move through both the performer and the audience.

In such way of development the piece becomes a living dialogue between inner reflection and external presence, creating a shared space of awareness and quiet longing.

Polina Skarga is a movement artist whose practice combines contemporary dance, physical performance, and energetic practices. She holds a Master’s degree in Choreography from Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University and was an active performer in several Ukrainian contemporary dance groups between 2017 and 2022, while also participating in commercial music collaborations and video projects. Since 2022, she has continued her career as an independent performer in the Netherlands. Alongside her artistic work, she has developed her own improvisation-based approach, the Revelation Dance Methodic, focused on body awareness and openness, and is currently writing a book about this method. In recent years, she performed in the Marina Abramović retrospective at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, participated in a Gaga movement workshop in Israel, and was invited to join the pre-jury of the RIDCC Dance Duet Festival (2024–2025).
