O Tempo Avança por Sílabas
"The Time Moves Forward in Syllables"

In the context of the 38th edition of the Grândola Book Fair

The Time Moves Forward in Syllables, the title of one of João Luís Barreto Guimarães’ books and poems, is a creation for one actress. In this proposal, which seeks a close connection with the audience, the word will be “served” in a simple way, as in any ordinary event. It is the ordinary that interests us — the everyday — everything that inspires us in the poet’s work. From an object present on stage, a kind of miniature scenography, the actress moves pieces, building places and small worlds where stories unfold that belong to us all. In this ever-changing movement, we go through a range of emotions, returning to an unrepeatable beginning, contributing to the passing of time.
