Balleteatrinho withJuliana Rodrigues

Balleteatrinho is a workshop conceived by Isabel Barros, in which participants are invited to explore movement and performance through a children’s literary work. It is an introductory workshop designed to foster an awareness of and engagement with the worlds of dance, theatre, cinema, circus, visual arts and music, stimulating creativity, imagination, and the relationship between body, word and image.

The two sessions will be led by Juliana Rodrigues.

At 2:00 pm, the work will be based on the book The Box of Memories, by Anna Castagnoli, illustrated by Isabelle Arsenault and published by OQO Editora.

At 3:00 pm, the session will be developed around The Colour of the Sky: Poems with Stories & Stories in Poems, by João Paulo Seara.

Juliana Rodrigues
Born in 1984, she graduated in Theatre from the Escola Superior Artística do Porto in 2007.
As a theatre director and educator, she has worked with several institutions, including Balleteatro, Grupo Dramático e Musical Flor de Infesta, Custóias Prison, Espaço T, Crescer nos Tempos Livres, Teatro Arado, Cabeça no Ar e Pés na Terra, and Global Dança, as well as various schools and nurseries in Vila Nova de Gaia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Valongo and Porto.
As an actress, her work has been particularly notable in children’s productions such as Contos de Lengalengar, As Raposas de La Fontaine, O Gato Malhado e a Andorinha Sinhá, among others.
