As preambular elements, I used four square white sheets of paper, separated by a small margin, on which rest objects and materials found on walks along streets and beaches, as well as in visits to abandoned houses and factories. Throughout the process, the materials that have been, shall we say, making their presence felt, stand out for their fragmented characteristics, such as sandy materials.
Initially, what interested me was collecting these materials associated with an idea of nature - extracted and placed in construction contexts, such as a house that collapsed, leaving these elements displaced from their point of origin, neglected and devoid of functionality. In the studio, these materials, through a dynamic of affection, are carefully treated, housed and repaired as core elements, rescuing them and giving them new potentialities, meanings and virtualities.
The building that rises on and between the leaves emerges in a similar way and in continuity with previous creations, originating from experimental and intuitive practices, being procedural in its construction and reflection, with a performative character and resulting in an exhibition device.

I am an artist who began my journey in dance and drawing in 1992 under the guidance of the teacher and artist Alexandrina Costa. I have a background in Dance from Ginasiano (1996), Balleteatro Escola Profissional (2003), Dance Works Rotterdam (2005), and the Núcleo de Experimentação Coreográfica (2008). Additionally, I attended the course in Public Intervention and Site-specific Artwork Creation at Universidade Lusófona (2009) and a DJ course at Bimotor School (2015).
Since 2006, I have been developing my own projects in multidisciplinary, experimental, procedural, and autobiographical artistic creation. Drawing, performance art, object manipulation, sound, movement, and sculpture are the essential means I resort to. As a performer, I propose the construction and composition of intuitive devices, using materials, sounds, images, and objects primarily derived from processes of spontaneous encounters, reuse, and gleanings. Walking and the state of drift have emerged as meritorious procedural foundations.
My projects have been developed, presented, and exhibited in various places, in collaboration with different structures such as Teatro Municipal Rivoli (Porto), Arte Total (Braga), Ilka Studios (Hannover), 4BidGallery (Amsterdam), Rua Gaivotas 6 (Lisbon), Faculdad de Bellas Artes U.C.M./Acción Spring(t) (Madrid), Lake Studios (Berlin), Centro de experimentação artística CEIA (Moita), Festival Mandala (Wrocław), Territori Festival (Ibiza), or Correios em Movimento/Dança em Trânsito (Rio de Janeiro).
Parallel to the development of my own creations and research, I have collaborated as a costume designer, musician, set designer, performer (between 2006 and 2017), and rehearsal assistant with different artists and companies. I am an associated artist of Balleteatro, where I develop creation and training projects at the Professional School, as well as co-curation of the programs Corpo+Cidade (since 2014) and Extemporânea (since 2023).
